There is always excitement listening to songs from your favourite artistes and obviously you would want to hear more music from these artistes. This is the same way we feel towards some Christian hip hop (“CHH”) artistes in Nigeria. We have put together a few artistes whose songs have been missed due to the reality that the artistes have not released new music recently.

Charlz Dogo

Charles Dogo formerly known as Fizzikal is one of the rap acts that has thrilled music lovers with his consistency for some time. The rapper was called into Nigerian Bar Association in 2018 and since then he has been sort of silent with music. He has had several singles like Hau Kace, Yesu Shi Ne Masta, Wake Up, etc.

Since the release of his single ‘Would You Be My Lady’ (WYBML) in 2018 where he featured rapper/music producer ‘Limoblaze’, the Kaduna based rapper has been off the music scene.

Tobi Toun

Tobi Toun has been in the industry for few years and has caught the attention of many young folks with his music. He dropped a single titled ‘2018’ which was preceeded by two singles singles Legend and I Beleive. These tracks really showed the excellence in his creativity and dexterity as a rapper. In 2017, Tobi Toun also dropped a collaboratie single with FIF titled ###. In 2018, Tobi Toun was a guest ‘Holy Sauce’ by Gaise  just after which he stopped releasing new music.

Hassel

Hassel Folajimi Olawoyin (Hassel) is one rapper that talks about new creation realities with boldness in most of his songs. The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Environmental Scientist made his presence in music by making song covers of popular Christian artistes like ‘Tye Tribett’ (I Can’t Do Without You) and Risen King. He later went ahead to release Fire in my bones  in 2017 and Clap in 2018.  Hassel was recently featured  on a song Daily’ by rapper Jlyricz

Omari

Teslim Alabi popularly referred to as ‘Omari‘ is another hip hop artiste that has been off radar with new music releases.  Omari earlier released singles like Church is for the wild, Zion’s daughter, Vanity slave before his debut project ‘Rap is Deep Poetry is Deeper’ which was released in 2014. In 2015, Omari followed up with a release of also EP titled ‘No Mans Sorrow’. Three years ago, Omari also dropped a single titled ‘Kuzikan’. The now married rapper who is also pursuing his dreams in UI/UX design recently tweeted about dropping new music soon, hope that comes through quick.

El’Noel

Following the release of ‘Ife Ni’ in 2016 off his first EP From The Wild, rapper El’Noel gained much ground and became an attraction to a lot of listeners. The rap flows delivered in ”Yoruba’ by El’Noel in most of his songs have been excellent and his ability to efficiently combine this with English is top notch.

The Obafemi Awolowo University graduate of Philosophy is one rapper people anticipated much from having received much acceptance with his 7-track EP. His rap prowess earned him a spot on LC Beatz ‘Gaga‘ (Yoru-Bar Cypher) and on other features. Following his EP ‘From The Wild’ in 2018, he also released a 3- single project titled 3 Shades to celebrate his birthday.

Other rappers that we think we need more music from are as follows: – Rymsta Ray, 4runner, Wondaboi6ix, Gad, Fido, Benjizzy, Cykic, etc.
